He offers a range of massage services such as myofascial release, remedial massage, deep tissue, Swedish relaxation massage, lymphatic drainage, sports massage, and reflexology (feet and hands).

Patrick is a qualified Casley-Smith Lymphoedema Practitioner.

The Casely-Smith method is the original Australian method to assess and manage chronic swelling that has resulted in a failed lymphatic system known as lymphoedema or ongoing swelling that is at risk of lymphoedema.

Some of the chronic swelling conditions treated by Casely-Smith practitioners are:

  • Primary lymphoedema (genetical swelling).
  • Cancer related fluid retention from chemotherapy, radiation or the surgical removal of lymph nodes.
  • Lipoedema (abnormal inflammatory fat build up that can cause swelling).
  • Chronic venous insufficiency e.g. advanced varicose veins.

Treatment methods offered are:

  • Manual lymphatic drainage massage (MLD).
  • Bandaging.
  • Advice and treatment for skin care.
  • The prescription of compression garments like leg stockings that can be custom measured.
  • Advice on decongestive exercises to reduce swelling.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be advised that your INITIAL consult with Patrick regarding lymphoedema or other chronic swelling WILL NOT involve massage or bandaging, as this time is only used to discuss your medical history, your presenting complaint and taking circumferential measurements of the affected limbs with a tape measure as an effective method to track progress. Therefore, for better accessibility during the measuring, please bring shorts to change into if the legs are the affected area or a singlet if the arms are the affected area.
